The Facilities Engineering Technician will provide technical expertise and support in the areas of facilities management, computer-aided design (CAD) drafting, space management, and asset management. The role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or within a team to ensure the effective operation of facilities systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Utilize CAD software to create, update, and modify technical drawings and plans for facilities projects.
- Conduct site visits to gather field measurements and verify existing facility conditions.
- Assist in space planning and management, including updating master space plans and tracking space allocations.
- Support asset management activities, including maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking furniture and equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to execute facilities projects and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support facilities planning and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, building codes, and organizational policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of facilities management principles and best practices.
