Job Description
Title: Therapist - Drug and Alcohol IOP/OP program
Supervisor: Clinical Director
Summary:
This direct care, clinically-oriented position focuses on providing drug and alcohol counseling/therapy to members of R3 Recovery Services. Responsibilities include a range of clinical and clerical duties such as OP and IOP group counseling, individual counseling, family counseling, educational lectures, development of Individualized Treatment Plans, documentation of DAP notes, group notes, case consults, treatment plan updates, and other necessary documentation to maintain a compliant clinical member record. Employees will interact with members, their families, private and public welfare and social service agencies, and professional organizations (e.g., managed care companies, physicians, probation officers).
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a counseling field preferred; Bachelor’s degree with CADC and a minimum of 5 years experience will be considered
- At least one year of direct counseling experience with individuals diagnosed with chemical dependency
- Knowledge of working within a managed care environment
- Working knowledge of the DSM-5, with the ability to recognize criteria for Substance Abuse and Dependence
- Commitment and demonstrated knowledge of a specific counseling theory and its application in counseling situations
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of 12 Step Programs
- Prior training and skills in evaluating, diagnosing, and referring individuals with substance use disorders
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform various counseling, screening, intake, assessment, and referral services
- Conduct individual, group, family, and couples counseling
- Develop, implement, and monitor members' Individualized Treatment Plans
- Complete all necessary paperwork for the member record
- Communicate thoroughly and promptly with all necessary entities
- Attend weekly supervision and staff meetings
- Prepare reports as necessary for all entities involved in the member's care
- Perform other duties as directed by the Clinical Director or Director of Operations

- Hours for this position are for 8am- 4pm.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
