Vice President for Finance & Operations
Annualized Salary Range: $128,000 - $150,000/year
Jamestown Community College has an immediate opening for a Vice President for
Finance & Operations. Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will manage
the College’s operating and capital budget, capital projects; coordinate the budget and
resource allocation process; financial management; formulate financial policies; and
implement procedures and internal controls that ensure the financial integrity of the College.
The Vice President has accountability for the following functional areas:
- Finance and Budget Administration
- Capital Construction Projects
- Financial Aid
- Property/Facilities Administration
- Sustainability Initiatives
- Information Technology and Network Services
- Campus Safety and Security
- Corporate Compliance and Risk management
Experience and Education:
Experience in a higher education or community college setting; along with background in
the above listed functional areas is preferred. Must possess an MBA, MPA or master’s
degree in related area, plus a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible
experience in accounting, business or public administration including working knowledge
of various accounting functions, methodologies, budget preparation, review and
execution.

Other key competencies and qualities include:
- Competency and/or proclivity to listen and to effectively and decisively
- Ability to perform cost benefit and return-on-investment analyses
- Knowledge of investments to realize prudent returns on investment
- Grants management
- Knowledge of State and Federal government reporting requirements
- Ability to work collegially as part of a high-performing team
