ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (Other duties may be assigned)
- Answers phone calls quickly and efficiently.
- Assists counter customers with orders, quotes, and delivery times.
- Conducts all counter sales transactions by entering orders into the computer.
- Maintains good product knowledge to ensure timely and efficient customer service.
- Verifies and completes all necessary information before entering sales transactions.
- Provides suggestions needed to meet and/or exceed sales goals.
- Resolves or alerts management regarding inventory issues or customer concerns.
- Receives payment or obtains credit authorization. Examines defective materials returned by customers to determine if refund or replacement should be made.
- Displays merchandise, suggests selections that meet customer's needs, and emphasizes selling points of products. Maintain a clean and organized showroom.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILIES

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work involves standing and walking, ability to lift up to 50 pounds and office duties performed from a seated position. There is potential for eye strain from reading detailed materials and looking at a computer screen. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboards at a moderate skill level. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in the office area. The noise level in the warehouse is usually moderate. The warehouse space is not climate controlled.
