AKA Hotels Hotel Residences is excited to announce that RAB Alexandria LLC (“RAB”), which also operates DC favorite, Café Un je ne sais Quoi of Dupont Circle, will soon be opening a second café and lounge on site at Hotel AKA Alexandria in Old Town, Alexandria. With that, RAB is now hiring for the position of Part-Time Server!

RAB is looking for someone who will be responsible for serving food and beverages with friendly responsive customer service and create an exceptional dining experience for all. Our servers oversee an expanding full dining setting, as well as potentially serving large banquets and private events.

Server Responsibilities:

• Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take drink and food orders and serve them promptly and accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
• Monitor customer alcohol consumptions and prevent over-serving
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations

Skills:

• · Excellent knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic drinks, and food
• · Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
• · Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• · Good communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and kitchen staff
• · Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in drink preparation and order taking
• · Ability to handle point of sale transactions accurately and responsibly
• · Knowledge of basic food handling procedures
