Quality Manager – Rable Machine Inc.
Summary
Rable Machine Inc. is in search of a motivated and dependable individual with excellent attention to detail for the role of Quality Manager. This is a salaried position, responsible for monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining products to determine compliance to specifications and engaging with customers and gathering product feedback, among other duties. Candidates must be interested in taking quality control and assurance in an employee-owned company to the next level.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for Quality Management System ISO compliance and adherence.
· Responsible for Quality’s role in APQP. Including: Control Plan, Process Flow Charts, and PFMEA as needed.
· Primary interface with Customers to resolve field quality issues while leading internal corrective action plans in completing root cause analysis
· Responsible for Material Review Board (MRB): Investigation and recommends disposition
· Perform PPAP, FAIR “first article" verifications in accordance with internal and customer requirements.
· Work directly with Suppliers to prevent and resolve quality issues
· Lead & Perform Corrective Action investigations using an 8-D, data driven process, using tools like Measurement System Analysis (MSA & Gage R&R), SPC, and Design of experiments
· Develop and maintain incoming, in-process and final inspection criteria, methods and data collection.
· Responsible for all customer specific quality requirements
· Accountable for maintaining Metrology and gage control & calibrations
· Train new Quality personnel: inspectors, measurement tool use, part print reading as required. Support Inspection personnel in the performance of their assigned responsibilities.
· Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards
· Supervising staff and collaborating with the upper management team to set quality benchmarks
Qualifications & Skill Set
· Minimum 6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; metal machining recommended.
· Knowledge of quality engineering principles.
· Ability to analyze component, product and manufacturing processes to improve product quality and process efficiency.
· Advanced Knowledge with inspection methods, tools and instruments (CMM, Optical Comparator, Surface Roughness testers, Automated Form & Position measurement systems, digital height gages, calipers, micrometers).
· Proven experience interpreting GD&T requirements of complex machined components.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to express technical concepts effectively, both written and verbally.
· Advanced knowledge of ISO 9001
· Advanced knowledge of Metrology principles
· Knowledge of material specifications and certifications
· Proficiency with MS Office applications
Education & Experience Requirements
· Associate degree in an Engineering Field required
· Minimum 6 years relevant work experience
· 6-8 years working in an ISO environment
· Experience with AIAG; Control Plan, Statistical Process Control (SPC), PPAP, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FEMA), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), or equivalent
· Experience in CMM Programming
Preferred Experience
· Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering Field
· ASQ certified
· Auditor certified
· Green Belt
