What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Master Scheduler position at Racemark International, LLC?
As part of Racemark’s Operations team, the Master Scheduler is responsible for building the production schedule for all customers, communicating the schedule to production, managing deviations, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time. This valued position works and communicates closely with Supply Chain, Program Management, and Production Management.
The target for this role is to assume responsibility for all logistics scheduling including inbound and outbound.
Main Objectives:
- Creates a comprehensive master production schedule & forecast based on machine and operator efficiency and materials plan.
- Tracks and reports shift outputs versus Master Schedule daily. Target accuracy to schedule 85%.
- Tracks customer demand and forecast changes within PLEX and customer portals daily. Changes outside of lead times are communicated to the Supply Chain Manager for acceptance.
- Ensures forecast changes, bottlenecks, constraints and identified resolutions are clearly understood by Operations Management. Backlog not to exceed 500 sets.
- Ensures all customer delivery terms and conditions are understood, accounted for, and correctly documented in Plex.
- Coordinates within the Supply Chain team to understand material availability and accuracy.
- Coordinates with Operations and HR (HUMAN RESOURCES) to manage efficiency and absenteeism.
- Monitors on-time deliveries & escalates delivery risks.
- Monitors budget to actual logistics deviations for order fulfillment per customer and identifies opportunities to reduce costs.
- Proactively communicates customer concerns and/or production issues with appropriate Program Manager to assure potential issues are resolved timely.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- 3 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or customer service, related roles.
- Experience with carpet or automotive environments required.
- Demonstration of superior organizational skills.
- Experience with MS Office tools, automotive ERP (Enterprise Resource Programming) systems (Plex), and Customer Portals.
- Experience working with a pull system.
- IATF 16949 experience required.
- Advanced experience with EDI and customer portals required.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written English communication and presentation skills.
- Possess decision-making and problem-solving abilities to determine alternative courses of actions.
