RaceTrac Company Overview Job Description: The Senior Accountant will oversee key aspects of the accounts receivable function, including cash management, collections, and revenue processes. This role is integral in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and optimizing operational workflows. Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable Operations: Oversee daily cash deposit recording and reconciliation. Manage monthly accrual processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. Monitor and improve collections processes to maintain timely resolution of outstanding balances. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy. Revenue and Month-End Close: Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards. Perform reconciliations and prepare key financial entries during the month-end close process. Review financial records to identify and address inconsistencies. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor team members, fostering professional growth and accountability. Develop and monitor performance metrics to ensure operational success. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within accounts receivable operations. Implement best practices to enhance accuracy and compliance. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably retail experience At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Workday) is a plus. Strong knowledge of US GAAP principles. Soft Skills: Strong organizational and analytical abilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and leadership. Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
