Underground Dig Team Members – Rack Electric
Rack Electric is seeking skilled and reliable Underground Dig Team Members to join our team. This role involves performing trenching work to install underground electrical and gas conduits safely and efficiently. Candidates must be comfortable working around heavy machinery and with hand tools while following strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform trenching, and backfilling for underground electrical and gas installations.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, trenchers, and skid steers.
- Identify and avoid existing underground utilities to prevent damage.
- Work in coordination with electricians, supervisors, and other crew members.
- Maintain equipment and tools, reporting any necessary repairs.
- Perform manual labor, including hand digging and lifting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in excavation, trenching, or underground utility installation preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely (certifications are a plus).
- Knowledge of underground utility marking and safety procedures.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
