Responsibilities
- Design and implement a short term comprehensive crisis treatment response for each assigned participant and their family.
- Provide short term therapy to assigned participants .
- Act as a case manager to coordinate transitional connections that will enhance their social, emotional and behavioral functioning in school, at home and in the community and which reflects the perspectives of the student, family and other involved supports. The program will reflect Racker’s values as defined in the Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct.
- Complete assessments that are recommended for improved diagnostic understanding, treatment planning and immediate crisis intervention
- Offer and deliver a full continuum of family support and therapy services and keep families fully informed on their child’s progress
- Gather and share treatment-related information with team members
- Maintain open and direct communication with team members and negotiate and resolve differences
- Engage and participate in clinical supervision
- Complete all documentation per Office of Mental Health and program guidelines
- Participate in an on call rotation and make contact with referred families within 24 hours of referral.
Qualifications
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to provide effective mental health support to youth and their families and function as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge: Understanding of the needs of children with social, emotional and behavioral problems and the needs of their families
- Physical Requirements: ability to operate standard office equipment.
