Position Summary:
Radcliffe Creek School seeks a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Finance to oversee the school’s financial operations, ensuring fiscal stability and growth. Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Director of Finance is a key member of the Leadership Team and is responsible for financial planning, accounting, human resources, and financial aid management. Position open as of March 21, 2025.
- Partner with the Head of School and Board of Trustees to develop and implement financial strategies that support the school’s growth and long-term sustainability.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts.
- Provide regular financial reports and analysis to the Head of School, Board, and Finance Committee, identifying key trends and opportunities.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and investment accounts.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal financial regulations.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial statements for leadership review.
- Oversee payables, receivables, payroll, and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring successful annual audits.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, month-end closing procedures, and financial controls.
- Work with the Head of School to evaluate financial aid applications and determine awards.
- Manage tuition invoicing, payment plans, and collections to ensure financial sustainability.
- Manage enrollment contracts and financial assistance packages.
- Manage employee payroll, benefits, and retirement plan.
- Oversee new hire onboarding, including background checks, tax documentation, and benefits selection.
- Maintain confidential and up-to-date employee records.
- Provide HR support for issues such as worker’s compensation, payroll concerns, and employment policies.
- Support the Head of School in conflict and crisis management
- Oversee accurate accounting and processing of all school donations and fundraising revenue.
- Monitor and manage grant funding designated for specific purposes, ensuring compliance with restrictions.
- Oversee and track scholarship recipients, ensuring proper allocation and distribution of funds.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Head of School on all financial matters.
- Participate actively in leadership team discussions and strategic planning.
- Identify opportunities for faculty and staff professional development.
- Adapt to evolving responsibilities as determined by the Head of School.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or business management (preferably in an independent school or nonprofit setting).
- Strong proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of human resources policies and payroll administration.
