Payroll duties
The primary purpose of this position is to complete weekly payroll.
- Monitor, clarify and adjust process payroll, following the SOPs to confirm the various stages of payroll are being met.
- Reviews time weekly to ensure accuracy and following up with the appropriate teammates to clarify as needed.
- Evaluate that pay, taxes, deductions are completely entered, run reports and audit the entries before posting and processing.
HR duties
The primary purpose of the HR duties is to support our employees in various ways, such as.
- Support the culture of the organization but working with teammates to coordinate activities throughout the year. Participate in employee engagements events, such as celebrations, etc
- Assist employees with questions with regards to their payroll, benefits, and the like
- Assist the HR Manager with new hire actions and onboarding, which will include helping, prepare for the new hire, creating folders and storing folders per our SOP’s.
- Supports in HR activities such as the annual Open Enrollment and performs audits as required.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of payroll experience. Construction payroll systems is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with a fast paced environment of processing payroll weekly for both hourly and salary
- Experience writing procedures
- Knowledge of benefit processes to include workers compensation and FMLA would be preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of Large EAP systems preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and Adobe required.
