Inventory Management & Procurement:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, supplies, and maintenance materials.
- Order and restock necessary maintenance items, ensuring availability for daily operations.
- Track usage of supplies and tools, minimizing waste and preventing shortages.
- Coordinate with vendors for purchasing supplies and equipment at competitive pricing.
- Label and organize all equipment and parts systematically.
- Keep the maintenance shop clean, safe, and well-organized at all times.
- Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly and are in good working condition.
- Dispose of hazardous materials and waste according to safety regulations.
- Monitor shop safety compliance, including fire safety and OSHA standards.
- Assist maintenance technicians by retrieving tools and materials as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of shop equipment and request repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Assist in minor maintenance tasks when required.
- Maintain records of tool checkouts and returns.
- Document inventory levels, supply orders, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Report low stock levels, damaged tools, and any shop safety concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), is kept up to date.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or maintenance support preferred.
- Knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and materials.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic computer skills for tracking inventory and placing orders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Primarily works in a maintenance shop or storage area, with occasional outdoor or on-site work.
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) based on job duties.
- Exposure to tools, equipment, and cleaning materials.
