Responsibilities :
Responsible for creating the system data dictionary that is being built on Salesforce. Should be familiar with Salesforce as an Admin, must understand design documentation and be able to navigate through different documents to document a robust description of the system objects and fields.
MUST be hands-on for the below information :
- Object Level Details :
OBJECT NAME : The name of the table / view for this data.
OBJECT TYPE : The object type (e.g., table or view) – Standard or Custom.
OBJECT DESCRIPTION : A description of what this data represents. Known limitations and special considerations should be detailed here. This description should specify the data set's granularity. This description should be no more than 5000 characters.
REFRESH FREQUENCY : The refresh frequency for this data (e.g., daily, weekly, real-time, etc.).
UPDATED ON : The date on which the data dictionary was last updated.
FIELD NAME : Column name as it appears in the data owner's environment.
DATA TYPE : Data type as it appears in the data owner's environment. These will vary by RDBMS (e.g., SQL Server 2012 has a MONEY data type that would be NUMBER(19,4) in Oracle 11g).
LENGTH : Maximum number of bytes (i.e., characters) that are allowed. Leave blank if not applicable.
PRECISION : Total number of digits, both to the left and the right of the decimal point. Leave blank if not applicable.
SCALE : Number of digits to the right of the decimal point. Leave blank if not applicable.
DEFAULT VALUE : Default value if specified. Leave blank if not applicable.
PRIMARY KEY : Indicates whether a column is the primary key or a part of a compound primary key. Mark with a "Y" for "yes" or leave blank.
UNIQUE : Indicates whether there is a uniqueness constraint specified. All non-compound primary keys are necessarily unique but not all columns defined as unique are also primary keys. Mark with a "Y" for "yes" or leave blank.
NOT NULLABLE : Indicates whether NULL values are not permitted. Mark with a "Y" for "yes" or leave blank.
