We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Supervisor to join our Finance team as our operations continue to grow. We would love to have you join our team! The Payroll Supervisor plays a key role in supporting payroll, you will become the trusted professional as you work alongside the existing manager and prepare to manage payroll for over 600 employees in a multi-state environment. This position will report to the Payroll Manager as well as the Controller. Most work will be done remotely with the occasional in-office work.
*** All Candidates must be available for Training, Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm for approximately 2-3 weeks of training at our corporate office in Lynnwood, WA***
Compensation:
Hourly salary range $34.72/hour to $52.95/hour. Salary is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status.

Responsibilities
- Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Reviews tax records and ensures monthly, quarterly and annual report are completed according to compliance requirements and timeframes.
- Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Ensure multistate setup compliance and reporting are completed timely and accurately.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with ADP payroll software, and/or ability to setup new payroll systems.
Education and Experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with compensation
- 5 to 7 years of experience with a payroll of over 600 employees in a multi-state environment
- 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- BA/BS, CPP or equivalent; related experience may substitute
- Experience with MS Office products with intermediate proficiency in Excel.
