A. Objective (Position Summary)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated International Operations Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless movement of air export and ocean shipments while ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. B. Key Responsibilities:

As an International Operations Specialist, you will:

• Manage air export consignments from start to finish, ensuring all shipments are accurately routed, documented, and compliant with industry regulations.
• Oversee Customs clearance for air export shipments, coordinating with vendors and partners to ensure smooth processes.
• Train and mentor new team members in air freight and ocean export operations, sharing your expertise and helping them succeed.
• Take ownership of key accounts, ensuring excellent communication and seamless execution of daily operations.
• Collaborate with the International Operations Service Center, participating in high-level training to continuously improve team performance.
• Negotiate with air freight vendors to secure competitive rates and develop effective rate structures for customers.
• Create and submit AES customs export filings and maintain accurate records for invoicing and billing.
• Monitor shipment progress, provide updates to customers and stakeholders, and troubleshooting any issues to ensure on-time delivery.
• Analyze and streamline operational processes, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

C. What We’re Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma (or equivalent) required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade, or related field is a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience in air export forwarding, with additional ocean export experience preferred.
• A strong understanding of freight forwarding systems (e.g., Cargowise, SAP, Gateway).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with proficiency in English and a customer-centric approach.
• A proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of industry regulations, including TSA, CTPAT, and export documentation requirements.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, in-office position (minimum 8 hours per day).
• Flexibility to complete all required job duties while ensuring responsibilities are covered during absences.
