We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented ISO Specialist to join our team. The ISO Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that the organization adheres to international standards, maintains certification, and continuously improves processes. This individual will manage ISO-related activities, audits, and document control, helping to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, the ISO Specialist is responsible for:
- ISO Compliance Management: Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) within the organization.
- Audit Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards. Act as the main point of contact for certification bodies.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain and update ISO-related documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records. Ensure proper document control and versioning practices.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas of improvement in processes and procedures, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and drive initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees to raise awareness of ISO standards, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Non-Conformance Management: Investigate non-conformances, document findings, and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve and prevent future issues.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on ISO compliance, audit results, corrective actions, and any other relevant metrics to management.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, such as quality assurance, operations, and management, to ensure that ISO standards are effectively integrated into business processes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1-2 years of experience with ISO Standards required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field an asset.
- Proven experience in ISO certification processes and standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc).
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, documentation practices, and audit procedures.
- Certification in ISO Internal Auditing or a related certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or service industry environment.
- Full time schedule of minimum 8 hours per day with flexibility to complete all required job duties and responsibilities.
- Minimum of 3 days a week in the corporate office.
- Regular physical demands: Walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; use fingers for keyboarding; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, emails, and instructions.
