  • Salary Range: $18.00 - $23.00 Hourly Range

 

OBJECTIVE (POSITION SUMMARY)

The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role at Radiant Global Logistics, Inc. and is responsible for overseeing the entire process of domestic freight shipments, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and accurate delivery of goods throughout the United States. This position involves managing the routing, tracking, and tracing of shipments, providing accurate pricing and quotes for various domestic shipping methods, including air, ground, LTL (Less Than Truckload), and FTL (Full Truckload). The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while fostering strong relationships with carriers and vendors to secure competitive rates.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Manage Freight Processes: Oversee the complete process of domestic freight forwarding, including shipment alerts, routing, tracking, and tracing, using various tools and systems.
  • Pricing and Quotes: Provide accurate pricing and quotes for domestic shipments, including air, ground, LTL, and FTL options.
  • White Glove Service: Handle White Glove Service shipments, ensuring precision and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Operational Coordination: Act as a key player in coordinating the movement of freight for a diverse range of customers across the country.
  • Issue Identification and Resolution: Proactively identify potential service failures or disruptions in the shipment process and promptly communicate with management or customer service teams to resolve issues.
  • Shipment Follow-up: Regularly follow up on shipments by gathering necessary details such as pieces, weights, and dimensions from agents and updating the transportation software systems.
  • Carrier and Vendor Negotiations: Collaborate with carriers and partners to secure special rates or spot quotes, ensuring competitive pricing.
  • Vendor Charge Audits: Audit vendor charges for accuracy and ensure alignment with agreed-upon terms and conditions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience and Skills:
    • Strong self-motivation with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and resolve issues independently.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
    • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex data accurately.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and familiarity with transportation management software (TMS) preferred.
    • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and contribute to process improvements.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work Schedule
    • Full-time position requiring a minimum of 8 hours per day with appropriate meal and rest breaks.
    • Punctuality and reliability in reporting to work are essential.
    • Flexibility to complete all required duties, including overtime when necessary.
  • Physical Demands:
    • The position requires regular physical activity, including walking, sitting, handling materials, using hands and fingers for typing, reaching with hands and arms, and speaking clearly with colleagues and customers. 
  • Language Skills:
    • Ability to read and interpret various documents, spreadsheets, and instructions.
    • Clear and concise written communication for reports and correspondence.
    • Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
