Maintenance Technician

• Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Purchasing and inventory manager

Position Summary: Maintains production and Quality by ensuring operation of equipment and machinery

Maintenance Technician Job Duties:

• Ensures operation of equipment, vehicles and machinery by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, production machines, pneumatic systems; following diagrams, operation manuals and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems and uses testing devices to determine problems.
• Completes Small Building construction projects, trouble shooting of electrical systems coordinate or repair issues as needed.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, forklifts; hand and power tools.
• Controls down time by informing production workers of preventive maintenance techniques monitors compliance.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing orders and verifying receipts.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum/Desired Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· ODL/ Clean driving record

· Ability to use basic computer programs

· Working knowledge of the five step methodology of lean manufacturing.

· excellent communication skills; verbal and written

· Ability to lift 75 pounds and bend, twist, sit and stand for potentially long periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
