Position Overview:
Radiology Associates of Ocala is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of the payroll function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, or Paychex, a strong understanding of multi-state payroll tax regulations, and a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including employee compensation such as hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, time worked, paid leave, holidays, deductions, and address changes.
- Ensure accurate payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, 401(k) contributions, and other withholdings, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including multi-state and reciprocity agreements.
- Prepare and maintain standard and ad-hoc payroll reports, conduct audits to ensure data integrity, and manage year-end reporting, including W-2, 1095, and other required forms.
- Utilize payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, or Paychex for payroll processing, employee data management, and report generation. Oversee system updates and troubleshoot any issues.
- Address and resolve pay discrepancies promptly by collecting and analyzing relevant information.
- File state registrations for payroll accounts as required, ensuring timely and accurate submission of documentation.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance payroll processes, ensuring greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise and train payroll staff, ensuring proper procedures and timely processing. Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume payroll environment, managing payroll teams.
- At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related role, with experience using payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, or Paychex.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); advanced experience with payroll systems is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations, including multi-state and reciprocity agreements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll information clearly and concisely.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
