The Role:
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for independently identifying, pursuing, and securing new catering clients to drive business growth. This role requires a highly self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, proactively building relationships with potential clients through networking, cold outreach, and strategic marketing efforts. The ideal candidate must be resilient, able to handle rejection with persistence, and continuously refine their approach to close deals successfully. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on sales success while working autonomously to expand the company’s catering portfolio. Compensation will be a base plus a percent of all revenue generated.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and pursue potential clients – make calls and knock on doors
- Sales Presentations: Conduct persuasive presentations showcasing the catering company's services and menu options
- Negotiations & Contract Closure: Negotiate pricing, terms, and finalize contracts with clients
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
- Client Consultations: Understand client needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Menu Planning & Development: Assist in creating customized menus that meet client requirements.
- Sales Reporting: Track sales performance, analyze key metrics, and generate reports.
- Marketing Initiatives: Participate in marketing activities, such as attending industry events and networking
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-5 years of experience in catering sales, event planning, or a related field
- Proven ability to pound the pavement and generate leads
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
