We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our dynamic environment. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining operational standards within the food service industry.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during shifts to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide training and support to staff in areas such as food preparation, guest relations, and hospitality best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in food preparation and service during peak hours, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, striving for exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management on scheduling, inventory control, and catering events as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and report needs to management to ensure smooth operations.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and employee engagement.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
- Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Experience
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the food industry or hospitality sector is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food service operations including bussing, catering, bartending, and banquet management.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest relations and team collaboration.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A background in food preparation or related fields is advantageous.
