Job Responsibilities of the Pharmacist
As a member of the pharmacy team, you will :
- Dispensing and Compliance : Accurately dispense medications in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including DEA, PQAC, and HRSA requirements.Adhere to policies regarding the 340B drug pricing program to ensure eligible patients receive medications appropriately.
- Patient Consultation and Education : Provide patient consultations to ensure safe and effective medication use.Conduct therapeutic interchanges and communicate with providers regarding formulary adherence.
- Supervision and Training : Oversee and train pharmacy personnel, ensuring compliance with scope of practice.Precept pharmacy students and participate in teaching programs for pharmacy technicians.
- Pharmacy Operations : Manage inventory, monitor controlled substances, and assist in the selection and storage of medications.Maintain accurate patient records, including allergies, medical conditions, and treatment history.
- Community Outreach : Engage in outreach programs and contribute to the health and wellness of the local population.
