What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Manager position at Radley London?

The purpose of your role is to first and foremost sell our beautiful products. When we talk about selling we mean selling the Radley Way, through offering exceptional customer service and ensuring Radley fans have a great experience when they visit one of our stores. Furthermore you are an ambassador for our brand and your role is to uphold the Radley image at all times.

As Store Manager, you are accountable for the store’s bricks and mortar and everything that happens within it. You have a duty of care to all staff members, customers and visitors and should be proactive in ensuring that your store is performing to its best ability at all times. You should aim to better store performance through the development of your team and through innovative and commercially sound approaches to attracting and converting new customers and retaining our very loyal consumer base.
2 - Key responsibilities
 Customer Service & Product Excellence: Providing an exceptional level of customer service ensuring that by the end of their experience in store, customers leave with a beaming smile on their face (preferably with a bag of goodies too!) This can be achieved through;
o Offering customers a positive and enthusiastic service

o Prioritising the customer’s needs at all times

o Offering great brand and product knowledge

o Adopting the Radley approach to selling
o Using open questions to ascertain customer needs and adapting style appropriately

o Resolving customer complaints
o Processing transactions efficiently and accurately
o Helping to build a customer base that returns to the store time after time
o And above all, create and consistently deliver an aspirational service led environment that will create loyalty to our brand.

 Target Focussed when it comes to you & the rest of the team:

o Setting daily, weekly and monthly targets.
o To strive to meet and exceed all set targets and KPIs set for you as well as team goals.

o In addition, you should be actively managing the performance of all team members and
continually look to improve output.
 Brand image: To uphold the Radley image through playing a part in; o Personal appearance
o Your attitude to our company (in and out of the workplace) o Visual merchandising
o Housekeeping
o Stock replenishment
o Maintaining and tweaking window displays
o Ensuring all point of sale articles are being used as per Radley guidelines
 Management responsibilities:
o Create an environment that ensures that they know that you are accessible at all times
to provide support and guidance (on your shift that is, we do not expect you to offer a
24/7 service!)
o Driving business performance through implementing and delivering the regional strategy
at store level to ensure that sales and KPI targets are met.
o Managing store budgets including staff costs and petty cash. o Dealing with people issues...
 Recruitment & induction
 Disciplinary & grievances
 Performance management, reviews and observations
 Training & development of staff
 Succession planning
 Completing performance reviews with all family members.
o Implementing a variety of staff retention techniques, inspiring all team members to perform well and continually feel engaged with our brand.
o Leading floor walks alongside your Regional Manager.
o Stock allocation and stock control including actively preventing theft and stock loss.

o Analysing store performance through knowing your best sellers and money mapping
(zoning).
o Owning all administration from new starter documentation to rotas to payroll and
banking.
o Actively building and maintaining relationships with key contacts across all sides of the
business and attending appropriate meetings, company days and training workshops as
required.
o Actively involved in what’s happening in the local area in terms of marketing
opportunities and store events, observing competitors (including new store openings) as well as attending association meetings. You are our company representative in your local area.
o You will be required to open, close and respond to alarm callouts.
o Responsibility for handover notes between shifts and ensuring that the store runs
smoothly even in your absence.
 Health, Safety & Wellbeing: To ensure that you are aware of and carry through with all relevant Health & Safety regulations that may impact on yourself, another team member or visitor to the store. You should manage and at times carry out regular audits as well as conducting annual
reviews to ensure that your store always compiles to current health and safety regulations.
 Communication: To communicate regularly with your immediate team to make sure that everyone understands the others duties and effectively covers the operational needs of the store. You role is also to make the team aware of all relevant business communications both with our brand and our company and to promote a positive culture and premium store environment.
 Daily ‘To Dos’: Managing and at times working with the team to complete daily tasks such as banking and dealing with deliveries.
 Team activities: Attending and presenting to the team through morning briefing sessions to ensure that all family members are kept up to date with company news and understand that the plan of attack for that day.
 Those ad hoc duties: As with all roles, you may at times be required to carry out ad hoc duties; whether that is to support another team member, to take on additional responsibilities (such as being a key holder) or to get involved in project work that may impact on the store as well as the wider business.

 Adept in dealing with people issues.
 A great understanding of how to use KPI / data provided to improve store performance.
 Great communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style dependant on your audience,
whether that is a Sales Assistant, Regional Manager or special visitors to the store.
 Good at building and maintaining working relationships.
 The ability to impact and influence business decisions.
 Great coaching and leaderships skills.
 A great leader of people with the ability to delegate and work collaboratively with all team
members.
 Ability to diffuse challenging situations with customer or team member.
 Ability to remain calm under pressure.
 An excellent grasp of the written and spoken English language as well as sound Maths skills.
 Passion for the brand.
 Supremely organised with a proactive approach to making your store the best is possible can.
 A flexible and efficient approach to completing tasks.
 Flexibility to work additional hours to cover sickness, holiday or during peak periods.
 Adaptable with a willingness and drive to learn and develop.
 Methodical, thorough with great attention to detail.
 Exceptional customer service capability and selling skills.
 Enthusiasm galore.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
