Job Description
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is the on-floor manager responsible for all a la carte operations and membership special events at the club. He/she will be responsible for helping train the food service staff, assuring a high standard of appearance, hospitality, and service in personnel and cleanliness of the department. The ability to communicate effectively is essential while working with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure that the club exceeds the membership’s expectations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Manage on-floor restaurant operations.
· Train all restaurant employees and maintain the Club’s standard of excellence.
· Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/or safety.
· Creating relationships with members and guests to make their experience memorable.
· Assures the correct appearance and cleanliness of dining room areas, bars, and equipment.
· Maintain an inventory of dining room items, including silverware, glassware, linen, etc.
· Receives and resolves complaints concerning food, beverage, and service.
· Attends management meetings to review policies and procedures, upcoming business and to continually develop the quality and image of the club.
· Responsible for locking up the establishment, checking that ovens, grills, and lights are off.
· Ensure member satisfaction.
· Comply with all health/safety regulations and liquor control board standards.
· Provide a two-way communication and nurture an environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork.
· Willing to jump into any department and be able to help with their tasks.
· Work private event functions when needed.
· Report to the Food and Beverage Manager any problems that have occurred in the building.
· Other additional duties that may be assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager or the Clubhouse Manager.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where prioritizing and multi-tasking are the norm.
· Highly outgoing, energetic, positive & professional approach with members and team members.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Superior attention to detail and first-class organization skills.
· Problem-solving skills.
· Fantastic guest service ethic and high expectations for quality.
· Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
