We are currently seeking a Manager - Accounts Receivable - Content Licensing to join our Accounting team based in our New York, New York headquarters.
JOB SUMMARY
As the Content Licensing Accounts Receivable Manager at AMC Networks, you will lead a brand-new team responsible for content licensing and transactional video on demand (TVOD) sales billing. We are looking for a candidate who can lead the AR implementation of new software systems and ensure accuracy in billing and cash applications. Qualified candidates must have experience with reading contracts and determining the correct billing schedules. In addition, experience with new system implementations and working proactively to introduce new processes will be critical to the success of this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Content Licensing Accounts Receivable team and manage one Sr. AR Analyst
- Lead the implementation of new billing systems, as well as upgrades, which will automate and centralize billing & receivables for all AMCN Content Licensing and TVOD (transactional video on demand) sales
- Proactively collaborate with the Accounting department to ensure that the billing and cash receipts process is clearly understood and all relevant Oracle set up is in place to manage the full cycle receivable in Oracle AR subledger
- Review contracts to understand billing triggers review that all billing schedules are accurate and complete
- Work closely with the Accounting and Finance teams each month to ensure that billing and cash application is accurate
- Communicate with Accounting at month end to ensure all outstanding statements are properly accrued as applicable
- Manage and review all monthly Oracle AR processes (i.e., aging analyses, billing, cash, ad hoc reporting)
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and departmental policies related to Content Licensing Accounts Receivable
- Assist other areas of the department on an as-needed basis
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience in an Accounts Receivable and/or Accounting department
- Oracle or SAP Accounts Receivable or General Ledger experience is a plus
- Media Industry a plus
- Ability to handle shifting priorities and multi-task to meet specified deadlines in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced experience in Excel and Word
The base compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 commensurate with experience.
