Raincross Medical Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Collections Medical Biller to join our growing team! We are a well-established Family medicine practice dedicated to providing high-quality patient care to the Inland Empire community. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about medical billing and committed to maximizing revenue with integrity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable, including timely follow-up on outstanding claims and patient balances.
- Review and process insurance claims with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and underpayments.
- Conduct patient collections in a compassionate yet effective manner, ensuring positive patient experience.
- Collaborate with the billing and front office teams to improve clean claim submission rates.
- Maintain knowledge of medical billing regulations, insurance guidelines, and coding requirements.
- Generate and analyze aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding payment status and account resolution.
- Assist with payment posting and account adjustments as needed.
What We Are Looking For:
- 2 years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, and collections (preferably in a family medicine practice).
- Strong understanding of insurance claim processes (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, IEHP) and patient billing.
- Experience with Athena or other major EMR systems (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and EOB interpretation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate yet assertive approach to patient collections.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
