Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist

Raincross Medical Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Collections Medical Biller to join our growing team! We are a well-established Family medicine practice dedicated to providing high-quality patient care to the Inland Empire community. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about medical billing and committed to maximizing revenue with integrity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable, including timely follow-up on outstanding claims and patient balances.
• Review and process insurance claims with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and underpayments.
• Conduct patient collections in a compassionate yet effective manner, ensuring positive patient experience.
• Collaborate with the billing and front office teams to improve clean claim submission rates.
• Maintain knowledge of medical billing regulations, insurance guidelines, and coding requirements.
• Generate and analyze aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding payment status and account resolution.
• Assist with payment posting and account adjustments as needed.

What We Are Looking For:

• 2 years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, and collections (preferably in a family medicine practice).
• Strong understanding of insurance claim processes (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal, IEHP) and patient billing.
• Experience with Athena or other major EMR systems (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and EOB interpretation.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate yet assertive approach to patient collections.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.98 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
