Job Summary :
The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for managing and administering the firm’s employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings. This role ensures compliance with applicable laws, supports employee inquiries, and works to provide a seamless benefits experience for all staff and attorneys.
Key Responsibilities :
- Benefits Administration :
- Manage day-to-day operations of benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure timely updates in the HRIS system.
- Handle benefits billing and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in payments and records.
- Employee Support :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, resolving issues related to claims, eligibility, or coverage.
- Conduct benefits orientations for new hires and provide ongoing support during open enrollment.
- Create and distribute clear, concise benefits communications.
- Compliance and Reporting :
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPAA).
- Assist with audits and prepare reports related to benefits utilization and costs.
- Vendor and Partner Relations :
- Coordinate with benefits providers, brokers, and third-party administrators to address issues and ensure service quality.
- Participate in annual plan renewals and open enrollment planning.
- Special Projects :
- Collaborate with HR leadership to evaluate and enhance benefits offerings.
- Support wellness initiatives and employee engagement activities.
- Assist with benefits-related surveys and market benchmarking.
