What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Revenue Operations Analyst (Salesforce) position at Rainforest Alliance?
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Revenue Operations, the Senior Revenue Operations Analyst (Salesforce) is a critical member of the Revenue Operations team responsible for leading the systems, business processes development and analytics that support Rainforest Alliance’s revenue streams and 2030 revenue model.
Rainforest Alliance is implementing its 2030 strategic vision, which focuses on an integrated revenue model that enhances partner experience and improves internal efficiencies. This position will be responsible for identifying and optimizing processes within the CRM (Salesforce & Account Engagement) that support account management, lead generation, digital marketing, pipeline management and reporting. This role will need to learn and fully internalize each revenue stream’s needs and Rainforest Alliance’s business model, so that they can anticipate needs and proactively build solutions based on the organization’s strategy. They will work closely with business leads from each revenue stream and Corporate Services to elicit requirements, build, test and roll out solutions that support sales, revenue, compliance and organizational strategy. Additionally, this role leads a team of two, providing technical guidance for digital marketing needs within Account Engagement and revenue processing.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis 40%
- Internalize RA’s sales processes and strategies for each revenue stream to provide continual process optimization that enhances account engagement, insights and informs strategies and business opportunities;
- Support the development of an integrated revenue model by implementing systems change improvements that support a more unified external experience and deeper internal collaboration;
- Liaise with business leads across the organization to elicit requirements and craft user stories that meet immediate functionality needs as well as organizational strategy;
- Lead the business logic for the Salesforce and Netsuite integration, ensuring that fundraising and revenue strategies are adequately supported;
- Lead testing and change management needs for new functionality and
- Develop and maintain end user guides.
Salesforce Administration (30%)
- Steward adoption of Salesforce by serving as a subject-matter expert with business leads, assisting them with training, reporting and listening to their needs;
- Serve as main point of contact for consultant partners, leading weekly stand ups and coordinating ticket assignments and deliverables;
- Lead change management for all new releases including the creation of process documentation, end user manuals and training;
- Handle third party online donation platforms: own integration logic, monitor platform releases, ensure integrations are optimized meeting RA’s financial and fundraising needs;
- In collaboration with Finance and Consultant partners, monitor Salesforce and Netsuite to ensure integration is functioning properly, identifying and resolving bugs as needed;
- Lead data hygiene efforts, monitoring data sets for consistency, quality and duplication;
- Ensure revenue attribution policies are consistently implemented and be responsible for business logic that informs financial system records;
- Handle and configure the Account Engagement (Pardot) and Salesforce integration providing continued optimization to support Development and Marketing strategies for B2B and B2C digital communications;
- Support acquisition strategies in Salesforce, ensuring that lead workflows and user journeys are defined, tested and functioning properly and
- Build lead management processes that support early stage pipeline building for all Rainforest Alliance’s revenue streams using Account Engagement and Salesforce.
Analytics and Management (30%)
- Execute Development and MarComm leadership sales, reporting and analytics needs, using RA’s existing Salesforce and MS BI tools;
- Build, configure and run Salesforce Dashboards;
- Build, configure and run BI Dashboards using Salesforce data;
- Identify, analyze and report out on relevant key performance indicators and trends;
- Liaise with business to understand sales and pipeline reporting needs within the context of each unique revenue segment;
- Coordinate donation processing, monitoring for accuracy and internal turnaround timelines;
- Directly handle and supervise the Systems Specialist and Revenue Operations Associate providing task prioritization, coaching and annual planning guidance and
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have direct experience supporting a Salesforce instance and driving adoption through business analysis, solution development and change management. They should be curious, collaborative, solutions driven and a self-starter.
- Salesforce Administrator Certification Required, Advanced Administrator or equivalent preferred;
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience of at least 5 years in a Salesforce administrator or business analyst role;
- Non-profit experience preferred, with special focus on non-profit technology, financial and giving solutions;
- Deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, roadmap and trends;
- Familiarity with non-profit revenue models and fundraising methodologies;
- Experience building reports in Microsoft BI or other similar data visualization software;
- Mastery of business analysis basics including requirement elicitation, user story creation, requirement sign off and knowledge of project cycle;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire diverse partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment;
- Strong organizational skills, manages multiple priorities in a time sensitive manner;
- Prior management experience strongly preferred and
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

- Washington DC Salary Range - $87,832 - $125,475
