Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Maintenance Department:
- Oversee and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Schedule daily work tasks
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure the hotel’s facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify areas needing repair or maintenance.
- Repair and Troubleshooting:
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, addressing issues such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems in a timely manner.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies, conducting safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Budget Management:
- Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective practices.
- Monitor expenses related to maintenance operations and control costs.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Order necessary materials and tools, maintaining relationships with vendors.
- Training and Development:
- Up to date on training of best practices, safety procedures, and hotel policies.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, repairs, and inventory.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, budget expenditures, and staff performance for management.
- Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in departmental meetings to discuss facility needs and improvement opportunities.
- Emergency Response:
- Act as a key contact for emergency situations, coordinating quick and effective responses to facility-related emergencies.
- Ensure that emergency protocols are established and staff is trained accordingly.
