What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Plant Manager position at Rainstamp Manufacturing?
The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire plant, including manufacturing, inventory, shipping, and receiving.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Leading Manufacturing Teams
You will be boosting moral resulting in quality production and employee engagement by working with all the plant employees, participating in solving challenges alongside the employees on the plant floor, and consistently bringing safety to the forefront of everything we do every day.
- Driving Production
You will maximize the line time resulting in efficient and high-level output that productive and rewarded employees by partnering with procurement on raw material inventories, partnering with branch operations on product type demand, and leading line supervisors to maximize productive time of all employees on the line.
- Protecting Quality
You will ensure each Rainstamp product is made with excellence resulting in solid customer loyalty and employees who are proud of what they do by ensuring the line has appropriate staffing to meet demand, keeping equipment maintained and operated properly, and drive employees take ownership in the quality of the products they make.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to a warehouse setting. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Hearing and sight sufficient to work around forklifts and other typical warehouse equipment used to move large items and physical agility sufficient to remove the employee from the danger of falling items is necessary.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of industrial plant operations and management including but not limited to various types of manufacturing equipment.
- Candidate must possess a working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving docks.
- Controlling expenditure and managing capital requirements within the set budgets.
- Maintaining inventory levels and controlling the flow of product using FIFO.
- Basic skills required to effectively manage personnel
- Knowledge of basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple functions at one time
- Ability to accurately perform in depth mathematical calculations and prepare reports.
- Ability to hold strict confidence.
- Ability to maintain attention to detailed information.
- Ability to effectively communicate and understand detailed and/or technical information.
- Mechanical knowledge/expertise with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic operation/maintenance/repair
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and climb
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds individually and team lift 100 pounds throughout a workday
- Willingness to operate a forklift and pallet jack after training
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record
- Handle petty cash as needed
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- 5 to 10 years of progressive supervisory experience in industrial manufacturing environments
- Degree in Business/Manufacturing Engineering a plus
