The Facility Manager is responsible for a broad range of facilities management, administrative and technical functions related to property management. Ensuring that building services meet the needs of the department and the team members, creating a suitable working environment, ensuring facilities are always clean and safe for operations.

Facility Manager Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay – $70,000 to $80,000 annually

Facility Manager Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, required. Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, facility management, business administration, maintenance, or related, preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years of facilities management experience.
  • Driver’s License, and a clean driving record.
  • Multitasking ability, and time management skills.
  • Able to pass a drug test and background check

Facility Manager Responsibilities

  • Inspecting and repairing electrical and plumbing services.
  • Supervising Janitors and managing janitorial duties.
  • Undertaking building and ground maintenance.
  • Ensuring facilities are always clean.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Managing waste disposal systems.
  • Ensuring a constant security presence.

  • Inspecting the building structure to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
  • Vendor management.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
