Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
Your Role at Raising Cane’s: The Real Estate Portfolio Manager role will work closely with operations, facilities, legal and lease administration to provide real estate management support to our existing Restaurant Portfolio. They will leverage a proficient understanding of leases, restrictive covenants, and other legal documents to evaluate and respond to a wide range of internal and third-party requests including easements, curb cuts, waivers of restrictive documents, facility maintenance requests and disputes.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
• This position will serve as a vital resource for our Restaurant, Facilities, Lease Administration, and Legal Crewmembers by addressing all real estate related issues coming from our existing portfolio of Restaurants. The Real Estate Manager - Portfolio role will require a high level of real estate expertise to quickly evaluate and resolve a wide variety of inquiries including landscaping, construction, signage, maintenance, right of entries, landlord, adjacent tenants, and jurisdictional issues, and any other challenges related to our existing Restaurant portfolio.
• Partner with the Restaurant Capital Projects team to support REC approvals and research property documents to understand responsibilities, approvals, requirements, etc. Collaborate with Property Development to obtain 3rd party or governmental approvals, if required.
• Conduct a bi-weekly Portfolio Management meeting with Regional Director of Real Estate to progress real estate portfolio management issues to resolution.
• Research, Negotiate, and Execute Signage, Parking, Right of Entry, and Other Agreements.
• Partner with Operations and Facilities teams related to remodel and refresh programs.
• Preserve a positive public image of Raising Cane’s and foster constructive partnerships with landlords, developers, property management companies, other tenants, Customers, and public entities.
Requirements for Success:
• 5 years of experience in corporate real estate
• Experience in lease renewal and portfolio management with multi-unit restaurant or retail operator
• Exemplary verbal and written language and grammatical skills, including the ability to interpret and abstract complex lease documents, and negotiate final lease terms with landlords and their attorneys
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple and changing priorities
• Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
• Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
• Able to work at the Dallas Restaurant Support Office located in Plano, TX
