Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst leads the design and development of BI models, dashboards, metrics, and reports. This critical role will help to define and foster new growth of the data-driven culture across various business functions by collaborating with internal team leaders to translate data into strategic insights that drive inform business decisions. This multidisciplinary position entails responsibilities in requirements gathering, analysis, data model design, technical report design, SQL coding, testing, and post-implementation support.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and proficient in working with large datasets. They will demonstrate a strong attention to detail and excel in a fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Business Intelligence, this role is integral to a rapidly expanding team within a growth-oriented company.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
• Facilitates ongoing discussions with internal leaders to gather and refine requirements for reporting and analytics needs
• Designs and implements advanced analytical models and tools to identify trends, conduct comprehensive data analysis, and optimize operational performance across restaurant and corporate environments
• Interprets complex data to inform strategic and tactical initiatives, ensuring clear and effective communication of findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Optimizes SQL table structures, defines critical KPIs, and generates comprehensive reports to drive business decisions
• Conducts thorough root cause analyses and strategic investigations to address critical business questions
• Collaborates closely with data engineers to ensure accurate data capture, storage, and integration into analytical workflows
• Designs and develops robust data models to establish a cohesive semantic layer, ensuring consistency and efficiency in reporting and analysis
• Partners with cross-functional analytical teams to validate findings and fortify data structures for resilience and scalability
Requirements for Success:
• 5 years of hands-on experience in advanced data analytics, specializing in designing sophisticated models and tools with optimized SQL table structures, preferably in the Restaurant or Retail industries
• 3 years of professional experience developing dashboards with Tableau, demonstrating advanced knowledge of visualization best practices
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or master's degree preferred
• Proven ability to design and implement end-to-end reporting pipelines at scale, ensuring data integrity and reliability throughout
• Experience with modern cloud data platform technologies, preferably Snowflake on AWS
• Expert-level SQL skills, adept at architecting, implementing, and supporting analytics data resources
• Intermediate-level Excel capabilities (data manipulation, advanced formulas)
• Exceptional analytical skills, including problem-solving, attention to detail, and clear communication of complex results
• Able to quickly learn and apply new technologies and advanced analytics techniques
• Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights
• Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaborative skills, capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a robust analytical and critical thinking mindset
• Able to work out of the Dallas Restaurant Support Office located in Plano, TX for 4 days per week
