Sparrow Lansing Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for a Locum to Perm position. This role spans from April 2025 to July 2025, with an opportunity to transition to a permanent placement. The position also includes call coverage responsibilities.
JOB DETAILS:
Reason for Coverage: Provider FMLA
Practice Setting: Hospital coverage with ambulatory follow-up as needed
In house while performing surgery and rounding. Generally 8 hours per day. Unrestricted call for time thereafter.
Schedule: Two 24 on call hour shifts, with call back hours, and the third day 8 hours on site for cleanup from the two on call shifts.

Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60 days
Facility Reimburse for the Following Costs:
Flight, Hotel, Rental Car, Mileage Billed at the IRS Standard Rate
Rates to submit: must be included with name clear
Malpractice rate
Orientation - "must be 1/2 regular rate"
Hourly/Call Back for any time after 6 hours while on call or 8 hours daily
On Call Daily - 2 days 24-hour call - "per 24 hours, to include up to 6 hours of patient contact"
OR/floor each day during call day up to 6 hours of direct patient care included
Call Back for time spent over 6 hours at the hospital
Daily rate - "per day, to include up to 8hours of patient contact" Hourly rate for time spent over 8 hours at the Hospital
