Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ACT Clinician to join our Access to Collaborative Treatment (ACT) program in Bethel, Alaska. ACT is an integrated model of care where primary care providers and mental health professionals work together to address the social, emotional, and cognitive factors impacting physical health. ACT services are effective in managing a variety of mental and emotional disturbances, including trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, suicidality, grief, and childhood disorders.
As an ACT Clinician, you will take a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to care, utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Activation, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. In this role, you will provide counseling, screenings, follow-up services, crisis intervention, brief therapy, case management, and make referrals as needed.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary medical team in a medical outpatient clinic to ensure clients receive holistic care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients with a wide range of mental health concerns.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention.
- Deliver brief therapy, case management, and facilitate referrals to other appropriate services.
- Collaborate with medical staff to deliver integrated care to clients.
- Maintain clinical documentation that complies with regulatory standards.
- Build rapport with clients and maintain a strong therapeutic relationship.
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in a human service-related field, such as Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical experience providing direct care to individuals, families, and groups. Proficiency in assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and clinical documentation.
- Licensing & Certification: LMFT, LPC, LBHP, or LCSW. Must be working towards Alaska licensure or be able to obtain Alaska licensure within six months of hire. (COVID restrictions will be considered as applicable.)
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and experience with standard office equipment.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations from various cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage caseload effectively.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and build consensus.
