Job Overview
The Associate HR Business Partner is a high-performing HR professional responsible for building strong partnerships with business leaders and providing senior-level HR support throughout the employee lifecycle. This role involves HR strategy execution, employee relations, and talent acquisition for salaried, blue-collar, non-manufacturing roles in the West region (California and Washington).
The ideal candidate must be based near San Francisco with the ability to work remotely and travel monthly to South Gate, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partner Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business leaders and the Corporate HR Director to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Facilitate
onboarding programs to integrate new hires into assigned business units.
Support training and continuous learning initiatives to enhance employee development.
Lead talent reviews and succession planning, creating action plans to address talent priorities.
Oversee performance management processes, including feedback, goal setting, and development plans.
Drive employee engagement and retention strategies to promote a positive workplace culture.
Manage employee relations cases, including conflict resolution and formal investigations.
Execute offboarding procedures, ensuring smooth transitions and backfill strategies.
Ensure compliance with company-wide HR programs, policies, and procedures.
Talent Acquisition Responsibilities:
Own the full-cycle recruiting process for blue-collar, non-manufacturing roles.
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to build hiring strategies and talent pipelines.
Participate in local job fairs, career events, and recruiting activities to attract top talent.
Ensure compliance with recruitment laws, processes, and documentation standards.
Maintain accurate applicant tracking records to ensure audit readiness.
Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
Experience supporting multiple business locations, including California (REQUIRED).
Proven experience conducting employee relations investigations.
PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification is a plus.
Ability to work remotely near San Francisco, CA, with monthly travel to South Gate, CA.
Nice to Have:
Recruiting experience preferred but not required.
Experience using HRIS and recruiting software.
