RAK Contracting, LLC is seeking hardworking and motivated individuals to join our team as Day Laborers/Helpers. This is an entry-level position ideal for those looking to start a career in construction. You will work on various job sites across Flathead County, assisting skilled tradespeople and gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of home construction. Key Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by removing debris, setting up scaffolding, and loading/unloading materials.
- Assist Tradespeople: Support carpenters, framers, roofers, and other skilled workers in tasks related to home building.
- Equipment Handling: Operate and care for construction equipment, including small hand and power tools, under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure the job site is clean and secure at the end of each workday.
- Learning and Growth: Participate in on-the-job training to learn various construction skills, such as framing, drywall installation, roofing, and more. As you gain experience, you may be offered project-based pay opportunities, with some trades within the company paying up to $2,000 per day.
- General Labor: Perform various tasks as directed by the site supervisor to support all phases of home construction.
Requirements:
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic Skills: Must have the ability to comprehend instructions, read and write, and use basic math.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to job sites in Flathead County and surrounding areas.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and perform strenuous physical tasks.
- Willingness to Learn: No prior experience is required, but a desire to learn and advance in the construction field is essential.
-Safety certifications such as OSHA 30 are not required but are a plus.
