As an RN in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), you will provide critical care to medical and surgical patients, including those with cardiac issues.
Your responsibilities include administering therapies, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions. This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality patient care.
Description:Raleigh General Hospital is a 300-bed facility providing exceptional care to nearly 13,000 patients each year, with over 50,000 treated in our emergency room.
We offer a wide range of surgical services, as well as specialty programs including Cardiac CTA, Digital Mammography, and Trauma Services.

Responsibilities:
- Administer therapies, including vasoactive drug administration, anti-arrhythmic drug administration, thrombolytic therapy, and ventilator support.
- Monitor vital signs, including Swan-Ganz, central venous pressure, arterial lines, electrocardiogram, and bedside glucose monitoring.
- Provide parenteral and enteral nutritional support, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), peritoneal dialysis, and acute hemodialysis performed by a hemodialysis nurse.
Requirements:
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Possess a Graduate degree from a Program in Discipline.
- Hold certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
