The Front Office Assistant performs various routine and general office duties to support the staff and organization.

On an average day, you will:
- Performs routine clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of forms.
- Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment.
- Serves as the receptionist for the office, greeting visitors and patients.
- Answers phones, directs calls to appropriate individuals, and prepares messages.
- Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters.
- Prepares letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions.
- Sorts incoming mail, delivers to appropriate department or individual, and processes outgoing mail.
- Maintains filing systems either manually or electronically.
- Manages calendars and schedules appointments.
- Orders office supplies and maintains stock at sufficient levels.
- Assists other team members as needed.
To qualify for this job you must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience working in a health care setting.

- General knowledge of health care terminology.
- Administrative writing, typing, and reporting.
- Use of office equipment and computer software programs.
- Time management, problem-solving, multitasking, organizing, and prioritizing .
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Working independently and completing assignments in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
- Exhibiting a professional manner in dealing with others and working to maintain constructive working relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical requirements and work environment:
- Sitting for approximately 90% percent of the day.
- Periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Fine motor skills.
- Typing on a keyboard for extended periods of time.
- Visual acuity.
