What are the responsibilities and job description for the Referral Coordinator position at Raleigh Orthopaedic?
Full Time Position - Referral Coordinator - Edwards Mill Office : Primary responsibilities include managing incoming referrals via fax and / or online requests as well as incoming calls from primary, specialty and urgent care providers. This position serves as the "first line" in customer service and public relations. Schedules, reschedules and cancels appointments per physician protocols & responsible for maintaining provider schedule templates and acts as a back-up for the Scheduling Team.
Position requires detailed knowledge of insurance companies regarding referral and pre-authorization; experience working in a physician specialty practice including referral processing preferred. Excellent organizational and computer skills; Ability to work well in a team environment. Must be able to work on site. Compensation ranges from $18 to $24 per hour.
