Summary
As a RPASCA Summer Camp Assistant Counselor, you will be an integral part in creating a fun and exciting summer camp experience for our campers! Your participation in games and activities, along with your knowledge and experience in childcare will make you a great fit for this position.
Responsibilities
- Be knowledgeable and supportive of the philosophy and Center Policies of RPASCA
- Assist in the daily functions of the program under the supervision of the Program Director and Program Leaders
- Preparing the learning environment and set up activities and materials
- Ensuring the space is clean at the end of the day
- Transition students to different areas both inside and outside Raleigh Park Elementary School
- Keep the program environment well organized, orderly, and inviting
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Put back supplies and materials in the proper place
- Participate in games and activities with the children under the direct supervision of a Program Leader or Program Director at all times
Expectations
- Maintain a positive attitude towards all children and staff
- Cell phones are to remain put away at all times, but may be on your person for emergencies. If cell phone usage is an issue, you may be required to leave your phone in the staff cabinet
- Arrive to work at your scheduled time. If you are going to be late, notify the Program Director what time you will arrive. If you need to call out sick, give proper notice to Program Director
Requirements
- Must be at least 14 years of age
- Have or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within the first 90 days of employment
- Complete the trainings that are required by the DELC within the first 30 days of employment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
