Position Overview:
As a team member in the FRP department, you’ll be at the heart of our production process, with a strong focus on grinding, sanding, and shaping high-quality fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) products. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with specialized equipment to ensure precision, durability, and excellence in every product. Key Responsibilities:
- Grind, sand, and smooth FRP products to meet quality standards
- Operate specialized equipment and tools, including pneumatic grinders, sanders, saws, spray guns, gel coating, and vacuum infusion systems
- Make precise material cuts using cordless scissors
- Work as part of a team to achieve high-quality and timely completion of tasks
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear proper PPE
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support innovation in our production processes
- Utilize production-driven software to assist in manufacturing tasks
Requirements:
- Must be comfortable using grinders and other power tools regularly
- Ability to begin on 1st shift for approximately 1-2 weeks for training
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, either independently or with a partner
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Experience with pneumatic grinders and saws is a plus
Shift Details:
- Schedule: Third shift, Sunday - Wednesday, 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM.
- Must be willing to train on 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm) for approximately 2 weeks
- Shift Differential: 15% additional pay for third shift hours (included in the starting rate).
- Special Requirements: Must be willing to use a respirator and be clean-shaven.
