What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ocean Freight Operator position at RAM INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING LLC?
- Handle shipments: FCL & LCL from A to Z.
- Provide quotes for ocean freight services.
- Arrange bookings with ocean carriers and negotiate freight rates.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, including U.S. Customs, FMC, and other applicable authorities.
- Communicate with customs brokers to facilitate timely clearance and delivery of cargo.
- Track and trace shipments, providing updates to customers and resolving any delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate records and files for all shipments and transactions.
- Address customer inquiries and provide solutions to any shipping-related issues.
- Assist in managing relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
- Have a proactive approach to handling shipments and problem resolution.
- 2-3 years of experience
- English / Ukrainian (optional)
Salary : $30 - $40
