Overview
We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our dynamic team.T his role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
1. Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
2. Ability to lift 50 pounds minimum on a regular basis.
3. Must have valid proof of U.S. working authorization.
4. Must be able to operate a forklift.
5. Must be able to pass a drug screen.
Experience:
1. Minimum of two 1 year exp with powder coating including materials, quality control.
2. Must have used coating equipment with hose fed spray gun.
3. Must have a production or manufacturing background or verifiable metal finishing experience. (Manufacturing Co., Auto Body repair shop, Etc.)
General Responsibilities:
1. Participate in required meetings.
2. Promote unity and positive morale.
3. Assure cleanliness of working areas.
4. Make sure all materials are in the proper areas.
5. Verify part count to traveler.
6. Complete quality documentation using readable penmanship.
Job Specific Responsibilities:
1. Provide the necessary coating and processing skills to achieve a quality product, on schedule within designated customer and company specifications and cost constraints.
2. Follow rules of the coatings booth housekeeping plan.
3. Maintain proper coating mixing times, and shelf life of the material.
4. Spray coating per details on traveler.
5. Visually inspect coated parts per details on traveler.
6. Research and resolved coating-related problems.
Responsibilities/daily tasks:
1. Prepare and apply coatings to any components and assemblies.
2. Monitor and maintain on-time completion in support of schedule requirements.
3. Use safety systems provided for hazardous material mitigation after each coating operation session is completed.
4. Change booth filters as needed per air quality requirements.
5. Check daily for weather patterns (temperature, dew point, humidity, etc.)
6. Select and mix coating material along with the basic understanding of various types of paints, primers, thinners, and other chemical associated with commercial or MIL-STD coatings.
7. Clean and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all coating equipment and personal protective equipment at change of every shift to ensure safe working order.
8. Will also do other tasks such as driving forklift and operating overhead crane.
9. Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices.
10. Take a proactive approach to continuous improvement including productivity, quality, safety, environmental and ergonomics.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursdays 12:00PM to 10:00 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
