Accounting Clerk

As an Accounting Clerk, you will perform a variety of clerical, operational and accounting functions. Responsibilities of this role include assisting with:

• accounts payable
• payroll
• financial and regulatory reporting
• budget preparation and reporting
• managing vendor relationships and data
• monthly bank reconciliations
• external audit preparation
• general ledger maintenance
• quarterly reporting

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. Extensive use of Excel is required.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
• Requires strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and possess strong logic and decision-making skills.
• Requires strong accuracy, organizational and time-management skills.
• Must be able to work independently and as a team with little supervision.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and work well under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, listening and customer service skills is required.
• Requires the ability to work beyond the standard work week, as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Education and/or work experience in accounting, banking or insurance.
