Examples of Duties
HOURS: 15 hours per week. Nights and weekends may be required. Must be flexible.
JOB SUMMARY
Working with Director and Chief Art Handler/Registrar, aids in art collection, care and exhibition duties including: inventory, documentation, requests for collection use, art handling, database work, insurance, student research and collection assignments, labels, condition reports, security, scholar requests, exhibition and collection filing, artwork research including new initiatives, photography requests, installation, possibly acting as second courier. Assist with contemporary curatorial research. Assess collection conditions in an ongoing way.
Qualifications
One year experience with art documentation preferred, and degree in art, art history, or museum studies.
Required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey.
Must successfully complete a Defensive Driver course offered by the College
Ability to lift 50lbs
