LOGISTICS COORDINATOR II
Summary of Position :
The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient coordination of all logistical operations within the organization. This role involves overseeing the movement, storage, distribution of goods and materials, and supervision of warehouse and delivery personnel; as well as coordinating with various internal departments and external partners to streamline processes and meet organizational objectives.
Accountabilities :
- Arrange transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery while optimizing costs. Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels to meet demand. Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, order fulfillment and dispatching of goods. Implement best practices for warehouse organization, layout, and workflow to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure all necessary documentation, such as shipping manifests, customs paperwork, and compliance certificates, is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a central point of contact for logistics-related inquiries and updates. Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, procurement, marketing, customer service and HQ Logistics center to coordinate logistics activities effectively.
- Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the warehousing, transportation and distribution process. Develop solutions to optimize logistics processes and minimize disruptions.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cases per hour, cost per case, customer service level / on-time delivery, transportation costs, and inventory turnover.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in logistics and supply chain management. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
