Job Summary:
RAMM Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Clerk to join our Corporate HR team. This role supports the Human Resources Manager in the daily maintenance and execution of HR and Payroll duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage confidential information professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Support
- Assist with updating job requirements and descriptions for all company positions.
- Track employee training, certifications, and benefits eligibility using Excel (e.g., Sexual Harassment Training, TIPS certification, CalSavers enrollment, etc.).
- Organize new hire files and ensure all documents are complete; follow up with General Managers for missing paperwork.
- Support employee benefits administration, including enrollments, open enrollment tracking, and documentation.
- Research and update compliance with federal and state labor laws and assist with preparation for hearings or legal reviews.
- Maintain organized, accessible historical HR records.
Payroll Support
- Assist with payroll processing, including printing bi-weekly payroll reports and tracking data using Google Drive.
- Track payroll data for special projects.
- Enter Workers Compensation wages into the system after each payroll cycle.
- Assist in generating financial reports for audits and external partners (e.g., CPA, 941s, 940s).
- Process requests for W2s.
Additional Responsibilities
- Reconcile monthly benefits billing and temporary staffing invoices.
- Perform other HR and payroll duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior office experience, ideally in an HR or payroll environment.
- Familiarity with HR processes, payroll regulations (especially for California and Michigan), and benefits administration.
- Strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and excellent math proficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) required.
- Experience with QuickBooks and Paycom highly preferred.
- Ability to draft professional emails and maintain clear written communication.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Valid CA Driver’s License.
- Typing speed of 50 WPM or higher.
- Excellent organizational skills and professional phone etiquette.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 10 lbs.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally bend, twist, squat, push, and pull.
Work Environment & Hours:
- Primarily indoor office setting, though occasional exposure to varying weather conditions may occur.
- Standard schedule: Monday - Friday. Flexibility may be required based on business needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
