POSITION:


As our first dedicated sales hire, the Vice President of Sales will play a pivotal role in driving Ramona’s growth and market leadership. To date, our sales efforts have been founder-led, and we’ve developed a robust and active pipeline in anticipation of a major product launch.


In this role, you will take ownership of sales strategy, pipeline management, and customer relationships, while laying the foundation for scaling our sales organization.

Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Vision and Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and establish Ramona as a market leader in imaging technology.


  • Pipeline Development and Conversion: Convert an existing pipeline of high-profile opportunities while identifying and cultivating new prospects in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic sectors.


  • Customer Engagement and Relationship Building: Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring Ramona’s solutions align with their needs and priorities.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, and leadership teams to refine messaging, support go-to-market strategies, and provide actionable market feedback.


  • Sales Process Optimization: Create scalable sales processes, metrics, and systems to drive efficiency and prepare the organization for future growth.


  • Industry Presence and Representation: Represent Ramona at industry events, conferences, and meetings to build credibility and expand market reach.



ABOUT YOU:


We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented sales leader with a strong background in life sciences or high-tech B2B sales.


Qualifications:


  • Proven Sales Leadership: Demonstrated success in senior sales roles within the life sciences, biotech, or high-tech hardware/software markets, with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.


  • Market Expertise: Deep understanding of the drug discovery and life sciences research sectors, supported by a strong network in pharmaceutical, biotech, or academic institutions.


  • Experience with Complex Solutions: Skilled at selling complex, high-value solutions, particularly imaging systems or related technologies that require consultative, strategic approaches.


  • Strong Communication and Relationship Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate, negotiate, and build lasting relationships with key decision-makers in the industry.


  • Strategic and Tactical Mindset: Adept at thinking strategically while executing tactically in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.


  • New Product Launch Experience: Experience launching new products and scaling sales organizations is a strong plus, signaling readiness for growth and innovation.
